Singles Ladder


Ladder Procedure:   Players desiring to join the "Singles Ladder" should e-mail Ken Pottel:  k_pottel@hotmail.com  Players may only challenge other players ranked no more than 3 places above them in their "tier". Players at the top of the "tier" may  challenge players up to 3 places below them in their "tier".  Players can accept challenges from other players ranked lower than 3 places below them, BUT they run the risk of trading places with them on the Ladder if they lose the match.  If you are the top players in "Tier 2", you may challenge up to 2 players up on the "Tier 1" ladder. If you win this match, you will be placed on the "Tier 1" ladder and your opponent will be placed on the bottom of the "Tier 1" ladder.    Results of matches should be reported to Ken Pottel, so that the ladder can be updated weekly.

Match Rules:  Matches will be played according to USTA guidelines.  Players will play 2 sets and if either set is tied at 6-6 they will
play a 7 point tie-breaker (must win by 2) to determine the winner of the set.  If they split sets, players will then play a 10 Point Super Tie-Breaker  to determine the winner of the match.  The first player to win 10 points wins the Super Tie-Breaker, but must win by 2 points.  The  winner then e-mails the results of the match to Ken Pottel:  k_pottel@hotmail.com.  The match results will  be posted, and the  ladder rankings will be updated weekly on this website  based on the outcome of the past week's matches.
