ABOUT JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS

Our Junior Tennis Teams are open to all of our younger players who can carry on a rally and are willing to work at their game. Our winter program starts in November and ends in March. The winter season has ten matches five of which are played at Marion Indoors and five are played away against different tennis clubs. Our summer teams start in July and go through August.

There are two 18 and under teams. One is an advanced team and the other team is an intermediate team We have plans to add an under 14 team. We are also hoping to have a sponsor a 12 and under team this spring. The Junior teams are made up of a Boy's Double, Girl's Double, Mixed Doubles, Boy's Singles and Girl's singles. Team coaches may hold practices during                      the week.

All players who participate in USTA Junior Team Competition are required to have a USTA Junior membership which is $18. There is also a registration fee for each player to participate. This is usually around $30. Every player receives a Nike Game Shirt.

All Junior Tennis players who play on USTA Teams are welcome to join the FTA. Junior Membership in the FTA is only $10 and allows Junior Players to play in in house tournaments, ladder programs, and in our tennis league.

Matches are held against teams from different towns from the South Coast. Matches are held during July and August, with a winter indoor USTA Under 18 team planned.
