Hastings Middle School

The four tennis courts located behind the Hastings Middle School (30 School Street) are in excellent condition.  The Fairhaven Tennis Association partnered with the Fairhaven Public Schools in June 2014 to repair and resurface all four courts by splitting the total cost. The FTA's contribution totaled $11,300 including new tennis posts and nets.  This facility is unique in that the four courts are each separated by a fence from the other courts, so balls never roll onto a neighboring court.  It is also an excellent facility for conducting lessons and running tournaments because of the privacy that these fences provide.  The Fairhaven High School Boys' and Girls' Tennis Team use these courts for the "home" matches during the spring.  And the USTA Junior Tennis Teams (U-14 and U-18) sponsored by the Fairhaven Tennis Association use the Hastings facility for their "home" matches in July and August as well.
